Alles beginnt mit der Sehnsucht

Dieser eine kleine Satz beschreibt ziemlich gut, wie ich zur Landschaftsfotografie gekommen bin. Durch den Tip eines Freundes bin ich auf Landschaftsfotos in einem Forum gestoßen, die mir im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes die Sprache verschlagen haben. Und neben diesen Bildern gab es viele Geschichten, wie solche Bilder entstehen. Für mich war sofort klar: Das will ich auch können!
Ich habe dann recherchiert und festgestellt, dass eben genau diese Fotografen auch Workshops anbieten. Und hier wurden mir dann innerhalb eines Tages die Augen geöffnet.
Ab da hiess es für mich: Üben, Üben und nochmals Üben. Landschaften, Städte, Industrie, völlig egal. Der Einsatz von Graufiltern, Grauverlaufsfiltern und Polfiltern musste gelernt werden, Bildaufbau, die Benutzung eines Stativs, manuelle Steuerung der Kamera, Langzeitbelichtung...
Alles das wurde so langsam nicht mehr nur graue Theorie, sondern ging in Fleisch und Blut über.
Heute freue ich mich auf jede Gelegenheit, mir die Kamera zu schnappen und nur mal so um die Häuser zu ziehen, oder auch eine reine Fotoreise zu machen.
Meine Familie ermöglicht mir solche Freiräume. Dafür bin ich meiner Frau und meinem Sohn unendlich dankbar. Mir erlaubt die Fotografie das Eintauchen in eine andere Welt, fernab von dem Stress des Alltags ist sie meine Art der Meditation, das Abschalten vom beruflichen Alltag, die perfekte Art des Genießens.

That one little phrase describes pretty well, as I have come to landscape photography. By the tip of a friend I came across some stunning landscape pic in a discussion board that have made me speechless. And in addition to these images, there were many stories of how to make these images. For me it was immediately clear: I want to do those pics! I then researched and found that precisely these photographers offer workshops. And then my eyes were opened here in one day.
From there it was for me: practice, practice and practice again. Landscapes, cities, industry, could not care less. The use of neutral density filters, neutral density filters and polarizing filters had to be learned, screen layout, the use of a tripod, manual control of the camera, Long Exposure ...
Everything was so slow no longer just theory, but went about in flesh and blood.
Today I am looking forward to every opportunity to grab my camera and just so to pull the houses, or even to make a pure photographic journey.
My family gives me such freedom. For that I am eternally grateful to my wife and my son. I allowed the Photography immersion in another world, far from the stress of everyday life, it is my way of meditation, switching off from everyday working life, the perfect way of enjoying.
